Meet Our Ambassadors!

Colorado Team

Lisa Avram (she/her)

Denver, Colorado

Lisa moved to Denver, Colorado after graduating with a degree in Special Education from The Ohio State University. While at college, Lisa received a Traumatic Brain Injury and was diagnosed with epilepsy. She became involved with OM after that, and has been with us for almost 10 years!

Lisa loves finding new outdoor adventures to go on with her dog, Boxcar, and enjoys encouraging others to embrace nature and all it has to offer.

Jeff Greve (he/him)

Fort Collins, Colorado

On January 28, 2018, Jeff had a severe hemorrhagic stroke resulting in about 10 percent usage and feeling loss on the entire right side of his body. After 6 weeks at Medical Center of the Rockies, he relearned how to walk and talk. To this day, Jeff still goes to PT and OT and knows very well the challenges of everyday life.

OM has been a huge part of his resilience and he is excited to share his experience and love of the outdoors with others.

Alyssa Bowman(she/her)

Fort Collins, Colorado

Alyssa lives in Fort Collins, Colorado. She joined Outdoor Mindset after a traumatic brain injury and loves the community and outdoor adventures that OM has brought her direction. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys hiking with her dogs, fishing, paddle boarding, and cross-country skiing.

She can’t wait to connect with and share adventures with others facing neurological challenges.

Pete Jones(he/him)

Salida, Colorado

Peter was born in Denver, Colorado and currently lives in Salida, Colorado. During the winter, you can find him snowboarding and working at Salida Mountain sports, a local backcountry ski shop. In the summer, he enjoys white water rafting, river stand-up paddle boarding, and river surfing.

After being diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 19 he has found that being in nature is important for his overall well-being and happiness. Pete’s three-legged Labrador Chloe is always by his side and is a huge inspiration on how to be resilient and live life to the fullest. Finding OM was a huge step in his journey with epilepsy, which he is very happy to be a part of.

Other Rad Locations

Joanna Wood (she/her)

Henrico, Virginia

Joanna was born in San Diego, CA but grew up in Richmond, VA. She was diagnosed with epilepsy when she was a very bookish 15. Intractable epilepsy drove her out of doors and she discovered that life outside of a book was far larger and more colorful than inside.

At Outdoor Mindset, she's looking forward to providing opportunities for people to be reminded that we can live inside walls of our own making.

Roz Potter (she/her)

Christchurch, New Zealand

Roz was born in England but grew up in Northland, New Zealand. She spent her childhood roaming farms, bush and the beach fostering a love of the outdoors. Before she was 21, she bungy jumped, sky dived, qualified as an open water diver, learnt to fly a plane and sailed on a 33ft yacht from New Zealand to Australia. After a car accident, she was diagnosed with epilepsy. This changed her world. Slowly but surely, she has expanded her comfort zone and is back in the outdoors and loves sharing it with her family and friends.

She is excited to be a part of Outdoor Mindset as she loves inspiring people to live amazing and adventurous lives.
